Our Company
UM Italia srl – part of the UK group UM Group Ltd – has been operating since 1975 in the import, storage and commercialisation of cane molasses, beet molasses and crude glycerol.
We have successfully expanded our business to become the leading suppliers of cane sugar molasses products across the entire livestock sector. We also supply products to various other market sectors for applications such as fermentation and various industrial processes.
We have been supplying quality molasses to our customers since 1975
Purchasing and import activities are carried out with the support of UM Trading Ltd, which purchases raw materials in the countries of origin and ships them by sea to the terminal in Ravenna. We have storage depots with a capacity of 12,000 m3 (17,000 tonnes).

Incoming Quality Control
Our incoming quality control procedures include rigorous checks on cargo samples in the countries of origin as well as on landing samples at Ravenna.
Analysis & Undesirable Substances
The analyses carried out are focused not only on the qualitative assessment of the product but also on the control of undesirable substances (heavy metals, dioxins, pesticides).
